Oh yeah.
Well a week ago was Friday.
I had finished a 7 hour day of band camp.
Which had completed a 50 hour week of band camp.
And I was sitting in the back of a car.
And it was.... 1am or so, right?
And my eyelids were doing a tango with each other.
And in front of me on the drive in screen was
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Seven.
I think my memory suppressed the fact that I watched it until now for some reason.
It was traumatic, yes. I was tired. And I was watching it end. Before me. And it was my first drive in ever. And I had just finished watching Planet of the Apes or whatever that was. And I was watching it end. And I still don't know how to cope with it, so right now I'm going to indulge myself in Harry Potter, and you are getting the shaft end of it.
Or the good end, depends on how you want to look at it I guess.
When I was little I wrote a song to the tune of "Mr. Grinch" That goes like this:
"You're a mean one, professor Snape! My dad says so! You've got slime in your hair and you fall in a chair because you're dead dead dead!"
By the end of the movie, I loathed James and Dumbledore just a bit, and my heart went out to Snape. And it still does.
"When I'm 80 years old and sitting in my rocking chair, I'll be reading Harry Potter. And my family will say to me 'After all this time?' And I'll say 'Always.'" -- Alan Rickman
