Said Lara in an interview on October 30, 

"It bothers me when people don't close the quotes, whether they're writing an essay or giving a speech. Sometimes it makes it really hard to get back to the bulk of what they're saying... it seems like you're perpetually waiting for that second quotation mark.... and it makes me feel anxious. (I also feel anxious when someone doesn't close the parenthesis. Especially if it's at the very beginning of a piece of work, because I get under the impression that they're just taking a very long tangent.
